Green and white sapphires engagement ring.

A little bit of spring on the heart finger.

Every time when I am making engagement ring I am feeling excited and a little bit stressed at this same time. Reason behind that is I am taking a big responsibility to create tiny treasure of love. A token of appreciation and devotion.

When Áine and James contacted me first, she knew right away that green is the direction she wants to go toward to. She had a wedding ring that was in her family and she wanted to be able to wear it flush with the engagement ring. Together we have chosen pear green sapphire in weight 0.77 ct. My idea was to adorn it with two, trillion cut white sapphires. Everything was set in 14 ct yellow gold, this same alloy as the family wedding ring.

James was looking to get his wedding ring made at this same time as Áine’s. He chose classic D-shape platinum wedding ring in 5 mm width. 

The biggest challenge was to work only via online calls and emails due to pandemic. Without measuring in person ring sizes and without family wedding ring to fit it perfectly flush with engagement ring. Also everything was taking much longer than usual due to Covid-19 pandemic, but the final result was definitely worth waiting.
